Star Kennels Fundraiser 2025

We have raised £1000 so far for the concrete base for the new STAR enclosures. See latest video here. Healing  Animals Organisation have been fundraising for STAR Rescue on a number of kennel projects over the years. These new kennels was inspired by our Healing Animals Organisation trip to Cyprus in November 2023.  Seeing so many dogs in need of help, we understood that for many, a timely adoptive or foster home might not come, because some dogs fail rather than thrive in a noisy, stressful kennel environment. They simply pace and stress, and lose weight. For others there’s just no way to tell if they could possibly go straight into the home of a foster family and mix with other pets and humans. It seemed what was needed was an interim place to go, where they could decompress, have some quiet and actually relax and show us who they are so we can help them find the right home.  A place they can get daily one-on-one love and nurturing, where they can see balanced family dogs at play nearby, but not be forced into mixing. A place with grass beneath their feet and trees to pee on.

So when HAO and STAR offered to fund raise to build kennels on Susan’s property, we happily launched in to the project. Hopefully by this fall we will have dogs flying from Cyprus to come into the new kennels at Willow Cottage, and another chapter will begin. We hope to give them a shot at good lives, and of course it will, in turn, open up kennel space to help other dogs in Cyprus.

Thank you for helping. All donations of any amount add up to make this a reality.
