A lot of practical work done, and the day spent at the Heaven’s Gate was a wonderful experience."Marian "Great to meet up with other student members again and Liz. The module has been fantastic as we have had the chance to work on a variety of different animals, both domestic and wild. The visit to Heaven’s Gate was incredible and a very valuable learning experience. I was able to overcome my emotions about the animals as I was worried I would spend the whole day in tears! However, I was able to put these emotions to one side and get on with the purpose for which we were there. This has given me a lot more confidence in dealing with future situations. I have realised that I have to be less analytical about healing and ‘feel’ things more. I felt I was able to do this by the fourth day."Jane "This is such a fab course. The power from the group is immense. We have worked on a variety of animals. I have a BIG fear of snakes, and with the support of everyone I was able to stay in the room with the snake and very quickly touch it with one finger. A BIG thank you to Elizabeth for her help to achieve this. I am learning so much and growing with confidence each time, we have met such lovely dogs, cat, hedgehog, owl, rabbit…and the snake! "Renée. "A lovely 4 days. The group is fabulous and we all got on so well. Being new to the world of healing, I found all the knowledge of Module 1 came into place with this module. It has all started to make sense and I am beginning to understand what healing is all about. The theory we have received from Liz has been invaluable to study from at home. We had a lovely day at Heaven’s Gate Rescue Centre (and although I work there) it was lovely to actually spend quality time with the animals without rushing around. Saturday was lovely working with a different assortment of animals including birds of prey and snakes! Sunday was really hands on to give us the insight to continue healing ourselves until our next module in September, which I am looking forward to, seeing Liz’s practise and learning the anatomy side with the vet. It will also be a good opportunity for the group to gel together further."Sharon "What a fantastic weekend and Elizabeth shares so well, shows enormous enthusiasm for her work and in her teaching. I cannot believe how much I have absorbed and how much work we have got through. I look forward to the next module three. The group works well together and Elizabeth holds this well."Jan. "I have actually had a fantastic time. I have been a healer, trainer and Assessor for many years and am on the board of the U.K. healers. However despite the years; Elizabeth has managed to bring joyous and wondrous experiences into my life. The course is informative, thoughtful;, intuitive, wise and compassionate. The greatest and most profound moments of Module Two have been the opportunity to work with two charity rescue organisation. This has been a tremendously valid and very rare occurrence. As most qualified or trainee healers never get this type of opportunity. We have been able to work with very traumatised animals and have hopefully made a little difference in their lives. We have worked with dogs, cats, hedgehogs, snakes, rare birds – a full range of animal healing opportunities. We have also met the people who devote their time, care and dedication in looking after these animals. The whole of Module Two has been entirely powerful, profound, soul engaging and evolving – and we have Elizabeth to thank for that. Dear Elizabeth, you are entirely inspirational and we are all abundantly grateful, honoured and blessed to be a part of your work. Thank you always,"Denice. "This course is fantastic, I feel totally relaxed and have complete understanding of it all, I feel that my healing is doing something for the animals now as I know what I’m doing now instead of guessing."Ann. "WOW. What a fabulous group. There feels to me to be so much energy, going to such good use. On Thursday it was very intense, with lots to learn, I found it very easy to ask questions and always the answers from you were easy to understand . There was great support from the whole group. Everyone fits. On Friday it was Heaven’s Gate day, and it was great watching you at work, before really getting stuck in with the huge variety of animals. Quite emotional but beautiful work. The staff were very helpful. On Saturday I had an emergency phonecall from a friend with a pony that has acute laminitis – thank you for your help with this and my own pony - I felt confident to pass onto the friend the information received on the course. The Acorn Project – Steve is a smashing guy and it was marvellous to work with the exotic animals that he brought. A very emotional and rewarding day for me. Sunday very tired, I must give myself more protection. Again thanks for the chance to bring Polo, he has had a great day and I feel so much closer to him after Denice picked up his thoughts. Again I must say what a great group we are and I look forward to meeting with them all before Module Three. Love and Light," Maggie DIPLOMA IN EQUINE HEALING WITH ELIZABETH WHITER To be eligible to take the Equine healing course students must have completed Module 1 to 4 of the Diploma in Animal Healing and have some Equine experience. Students that have very little Equine experience will need to attend the two day basic horse care weekend course. (See below) Equine anatomy and physiology diploma course testimonials The Equine Healing Course has been very informative. Although I’ve worked with horses and alongside the vet & dentist, there were illnesses that I’d never heard of and bone structures that I hadn’t understood before this course. It was all taught in an easy way that I understood. It was great to have the x-rays, which helped with understanding feet problems. The notes that came with the course were great. Ann Dip in Animal Healing Fantastic course, very comprehensive but clearly taught and easy to understand. The course notes are in depth and have very useful accompanying photographs and diagrams. I now feel much better prepared to extend my animal healing to equines. Thank you! Katherine Dip in Animal Healing Dear Emma, Thank you so much for the fabulously clear and precise course. You have made things very easy to understand and have managed to answer even the most ‘off the wall’ questions. The notes have been so helpful, as have the life subjects that we had for reference. You are a great teacher! Maggie Dip in Animal Healing Course well organised. Vet Nurse, Emma Farrow, very knowledgeable and excellent teaching methods. Notes quite enough basic information to stimulate the desire to research further. Emma was great – pace just about and careful to explain more technical information slowly in a way that was easy to understand. Well done Liz for all the organization and allowing us to share Wow, Dancer and Betty. Looking forward to meeting up with everyone again on the next module. Melinda Dip in Animal Healing This type of course has been informative, practical, well presented & enjoyable. There has been a lot of information to absorb but it has been presented in such a way that has made it digestible. I have enjoyed Emma’s style of teaching & Liz’s input has been invaluable. The photographs & diagrams were fantastic and really enhanced the written content. A job well done! Fantastic!! Thanks so much! Jo Dip in Animal Healing Bringing together those from previous modules of the small animal diploma, excellent idea & the ‘gell’ing of the group happened quickly & for me has been very special. Emma is an excellent natural teacher & holds your attention but also gently expands your thinking. The content has obviously been thoroughly thought through – it is obvious the amount of work that has been put into putting it together & I would like to say a big thank you! Amanda Dip in Animal Healing Thoroughly enjoyed the four days. Great company and the information was superb and at an understandable level. Thanks to Liz & Emma. Mary Dip in Animal Healing Module 2 Equine Healing Testimonials Wow! What an amazing 4 days! The final 4-day module of the Equine Healing diploma was absolutely inspiring. Elizabeth Whiter had put in so much of her own energy and thought into the course work, the meditations, and the practical work. What has module 2 done for me, wow, what can I say that does proper service to this? In a lot of ways, the more we evolve along the spiritual path, the lonelier it seems to get - so in the first instance module 2 has given me that feeling of camaraderie again. This is no small thing - it is huge - I feel connected and 'in love' with all of those around me on the course in a very 'unconditional' sense - not an earthly sense I hasten to add!! Other than that, it has created an awakening of my latent sense of belonging in the world of horses - something I have never managed to experience to now but have always known - thank you for giving this the opportunity to be found and experienced. Amanda Dip in Animal Healing As with all previous courses this has been an intensive, totally absorbing 4 days. There can be no doubt as to the amount of time, thought and commitment Liz has put towards making this module as successful and rewarding for her students as with her previous endeavours. We had all been informed prior to commencing this second module that there would be much to achieve in a very short space of time - how true! The care and attention to detail regarding not only the anatomical structures of the equine but also the tremendous variety of tack, horse related clothing and comfort related equine attire was mind blowing. The variety and choice in all areas of equine care has mushroomed from the limited choice I was once familiar with 30 odd years ago. I felt that we had a wonderful balance of student skills amongst the group of attendees - both from the equine management and spiritually aware - everyone had so much to give and share. I am sure that we all wish we could have more time to do the 'Practical Stuff' but appreciate there restrictions around this. Liz has offered the all important 'tasters' and support to encourage us to all strike out on our own, developing our healing gifts as individuals in our own right. Throughout this module there has been great emphasis on OUR safety and well being, which I feel is incredibly important. Too often we think we are protected and she has bought us to task, ensuring we are fully aware of both our Spiritual and Physical frailties. We are all so fortunate that Liz shares not only her experience and knowledge but also those opportunities to experiment and practice on her own clients and their human carers. Melinda Dip in Animal Healing The quality of this module has been extremely high. The written content is well researched and presented in a clear and informative format. It has been fantastic to work with Liz’s three horses, Wow, Betty and Dancer as they are wonderful confidence givers. Thursday A.M - It was great to be back in the ‘wonder team’ feeling that rock solid bond that we share. Liz explained that this would be a busy few days, that we had a lot of practical and theory work to do – And Liz never lies!. The notes for this module like the last were extensive but, fully explained. We then had a practical demonstration, working with Liz’s horses and all had a chance to have a hands on go. In the afternoon we went to St Peters hospice and met Sarah’s donkeys. It was a great experience working in the field and then had the chance to have a group healing for Sarah. Friday - Spent the morning at St Bede’s which is a marvellous riding establishment. Jenny made us very welcome. I don’t think I have ever been to such a calm and loving place (ok so all the kids were on holiday). The horses and ponies were without exception happy and relaxed and very pleased to accommodate us. I worked with two wonderful animals – Hector was a master teacher and I felt I learnt so much from him. Also we looked at tack and riding aids here and learnt about different types of saddle etc. Later back at Liz’s we discussed the mornings work, comparing our notes and experiences. Our last very enjoyable event of the day was pairing up and having individual healing. +++ Day! Saturday - This mornings opening attunement was taken by Amanda and was truly amazing. Personally I found it a hugely moving experience and I am very grateful to Amanda, Liz and the group for this. I felt very strong and protected for the rest of the day – it feels like I have taken a very large step forward. In the afternoon we went to Plumpton stable and met Broney and had the opportunity to work with many different horses, ponies and their owners. It was a very different atmosphere at this place because of the extra dynamic of being a busy working yard; I found the contrast very exciting. So here I am at 6pm, a little “cream crackered” but very happy and looking forward to tomorrow for more new experiences. P.S I like this course – a lot! Maggie Dip in Animal Healing
BASIC HORSE CARE WEEKEND WITH LOUISE BAILEY Bsc (Hons) The basic horse care weekend has been designed for anyone who would like more experience with horses, and specifically for those students who wish to take the Diploma in equine healing with Elizabeth Whiter, yet have little experience with horses. This includes people who have never been around horses before, alongside more experienced people who would like to build on their current knowledge. As horses can be large and unpredictable, we feel that it is of paramount importance to have basic knowledge of safe working practice around horses at the very least, before working with them. The weekend will cover many aspects of safe horse handling and care; with a blend of practical and classroom tuition. Facilities are ideal for students, including: well-mannered horses of different sizes and ages, an enclosed ménage (sand school) for safe handling and riding practise and a barn-style classroom.
Courses run throughout the year, in Sussex and cost £90 for the weekend. Please contact Elizabeth for further details or send an email to elizabeth@healinganimals.org Testimonials from the two day stable management course The course content was perfect for the novice and the way it was presented was logical. Louise's obvious enthusiasm for the subject was infectious and her knowledge astounding! The horses were also good to work on as they were well behaved and patient with us but not 'perfect' in the sense of making you believe horse care was always going to be easy! ( I think that was planned and discussed with them somehow!!!!!). I now feel able to converse with the horse owner and that I have enough background to see where there may be a glaring problem - horse to owner. I now also feel I have been shown the 'correct' way and have enough knowledge to now take that and be around friend's horses where I will use this information to work with them correctly regardless of the habits my friends may have developed over the years that may not be quite so precise, and expand my experience of horse handling safely - thank you once again! See you soon, Amanda Thank you for a great equine course, the week-end flew by. I learnt so much in a short space of time, for someone with no equine experience I left feeling confident in the company of horses and able to be in control of them. A well structured very practical course and found the theory easier to absorb with you reading it through and explaining it, at the same time enabling us to ask any questions we may have. I felt it a good choice to have a break after the theory before commencing with further practical work. I felt more comfortable and confident with a small group of students. Your knowledge and experience of horses shone through along with your encouragement and natural flair for teaching. A really enjoyable course, well done! Christina I can't help but say that the work you have put into preparing this course, followed by the actual effort it took, once again makes this very much value for money - thank you! Geri Louise has since travelled to Australia to study natural horsemanship techniques, which are based on understanding equine behaviour and communicating with horses in their own language. She uses this style of communication alongside traditional horse husbandry methods, and understands the importance of remaining open to new methods and techniques. Louise is currently studying the Diploma in animal healing with Elizabeth Whiter and is using healing as part of her holistic approach. Aside from teaching, Louise currently works in the equine industry - hands on with many varied horses – and is also involved in equine osteopathic support, horse and rider heart rate monitoring (fitness training) and the development of a ‘horse and rider centre’ for osteopathy, training and rehabilitation.
